I walked into the shop last week to find the lube in the luber/sizer was heated to 153 degrees Fahrenheit (the controller was set for 105). After turning off the machine, I quickly came to the conclusion that the temperature controller was malfunctioning. To test this theory, I swapped out the temperature controller with the one in my caster (both controllers are the same). With a different temperature controller, I was able to keep the lube temp down to between 100 and 107 degrees Fahrenheit.

The controller is now listed as obsolete at Mouser.com and Alliedelec.com. Sadly, I stooped to ebay at $115.20 to my door.

Bummer.

A lot of them controllers will interchange, we have to change em some what regular at work. I think the output relay gets a pretty good workout.

You could try to fix it or just use it as a thermometer on something else...
