Anyone have any experience with the Hornady's HAP (hornady action pistol) bullet? Also, when looking up possible load data, is it treated similar to their XTP series?

I've shot them in .45 ACP...great bullets. AFAIK, precisely the same as XTP's except, no expansion cuts, no exposed lead at tip of cavity. Most accurate bullet I've shot from my G21 to date. I have a box of the 185 grain Nosler HP's (used by USMC Marksmanship Team) I haven't loaded...I'm anxious to compare them.

Yes, the HAP data will interchange with XTP data. It is the same bullet except no scoring on the jacket.

I'm sure you'll get info here that's truthful and accurate.

Lotta guys and gals here really know their chit.

But why not also put in a call to Hornady and get it straight from the horses mouth?

Jes' sayin'.....

I did go to their web site but couldn't find the info I was looking for. As you state....lot of folks here really know their stuff. Also, I know I'll usually get other useful info as well in the process. GT & GP are great forums for someone like me starting out in the reloading business.
