I got way too many. I like the Bass Pro Bionic blade and Extreme rods. They are the best rods for the money IMO. But they are made in china as are most rods today. If you are looking for a cheap rod the Berkley lightning rods used to be pretty good but the new ones are garbage.

I sent an email to them telling them that their newer products are inferior to their old ones IMO. I never received a response.

I have one all star rod and I really like it. It is made in America to boot:patriot: but they are not inexpensive.

I am a big fan of Pflueger baitcast and spinning reels and I am particularly fond of the Trion baitcasters. I buy them used on Ebay and give them a good cleaning and they are good to go. I have used Quantum, Daiwa, Abu Garcia, and Shimano reels and I will pick a Pflueger anyday.

I like the old school Abu Garcia reels when I am fishing for cats or stripes where I may need the extra line capacity or I know that my equipment is going to get abused like in the bottom of a jon boat or laying them on the bank.

To Many LOL. Some for crappie, some for general use, some for cats, some for bass, some surf rigs. some nice cane poles

My Fav. is a 2 piece 7ft Kingfisher casting rod with a red Garcia Cardinal open face reel had it for a VERY long time.. goes with me everytime I go fishing. Landed many many crappies, cats, trout, smallies, largemouth, and perch

I think I'm down to about 5 or 6 combo's, or about twice as many as Eazy's got.

I only have 2. One's a Penn Silverado and the other is a Roddy Hunter by Penn.

I actually like the Roddy Hunter better. I don't catch much fish, but it ain't the gear, it's the fisherman.

I've got 46. I like the Abu stuff.... good quality. I do have many different combo hook ups though. I have 4 tackle systems to go with the rest. I just never have time to use any of it. If I can get it organized I'll put up some pics.

Carry on.

I've got a 6 foot Eagle Claw medium weight pole with Quantum reel, as well as a shorter all Quantum set up in a light action.

My guess is that I have about 25 or so, although I'd need to go count them (some are at my folk's house too though).

"Favorite" is too difficult, because between the salt and freshwater applications, there is too much variety.

I would gladly grab my Penn spinner for most larger targets, and my Ambassador 5000C (old school) for most freshwater targets.

My wife has asked me NOT TO keep expanding the collection, since she doesn't understand the "why" aspect of having so many...so I've switched to really expensive multi-use gear in recent years to make up for it!!! :-)

BoltNut's got MAD fishing skills. Dude reels in dang near everything he hooks. I went out on a boat with him one time and he was the only one catching anything.

Because of the predominant clientele of said equipment, my father affectionately refers to them as FAIRY WANDS. :43:

I'll admit I do have one for crappie and fickle sea trout though. :)

Four or five for when the water is open.

Two for going through the ice, plus some popups.

I think about a couple of cane poles and one rod & reel. If I go fishing im always baiting the hooks and taking off fish. My two girls dont give me much time to fish.

Just like this white boy, Slick! Maybe we more alike on the inside then we figured?! :animlol:

I couldn't find one of my pics wearing both at the same time, but I'll keep searching. I spent many a afternoon sittin' on a bucket with a cane pole in the shade...btw, PKR HD...that's time WELL SPENT with your girls, believe me!!! :yesnod: A dad who takes his girls hunting and fishing with him is a proud daddy of a FINE WOMAN one day!!! :patriot:

Bein grisled helps ;)

If you like me on da inside, you got a serious pork fat deficiency going on right now.

I always fished wit a cane pole, except when I was surf fishin. Then, a big arsed canasta rod an some pyramid sinkers wit a chunk a shrimp head.

Jus go out about chest deep, throw da line far as ya can, hook somethin, start workin it an movin toward da shore.

Fresh water, a cane pole all I ever needed

Ate a lotta fish in my time (nowhere near enough crappie yet), caught all kinda fish too.

Buffalo, carp, gar, perch, croaker, drum an crappie my favorites, mud cat a do in a pinch too ;)

I been eatin saltwater fish a lot over here, it's OK, just ain't da same.
