I put an order in with Powder Valley on their web site for a batch of primers last Friday. It shows they are out of stock, but I figured I would just get in line for the next shipment. This morning I got an email with an invoice with a ship date of 8/7/09. I wonder if they actually shipped my order this soon. That would be a nice surprise, but I'm not counting on it.

I called them and they said there is some confusion about my order. They are checking in to it. He said they currently have 2.3 million small pistol primers on back order, but because my order was small they may be able to cover it. I noticed in the background you could hear the phone ringging off the hook, and at least three different voices answering calls.

Well I can't explain this but I just got off the phone and they say my order is ready to ship. I tried to add some Unique, but he said they sold out today. The guy was a little grumpy, but I'm sure people are driving them nuts with phone calls.

Well I just got shipping confirmation and a tracking number. Guess I need to buy a lottery ticket on the way home.

What type and size were they ? I canceled my order fer the wolf's since the 25% price increase and changed to the cci's, hope they dont go up too !!

Glad PV came through for you. After the way they scammed their customers out of an extra 25% on backordered wolf primers PV sure doesn't have the right to cop an attitude on the phone.

Had the same luck with Powder Valley. Put an order for 10 k small pistol yesterday, then called today to see how long and if they would charge my card before shipment and it took them 5 minutes to find my order. I was going to cancel because Cabalas has Magtech sp primers on there web site with OUT backorder so I was going to get them from Cabalas. The man on the phone came back a few minutes later and said OOPs they were shipping today. Got the conformation from UPS just a few minutes ago. Maybe primer shortage is over?

Went to the local gun shop yesterday and they were stocked to the hilt with AR's and pistols offering 100 bucks off any AR and 50 off any pistol over 500 bucks.

Me think production has finally caught up.

This is all very good news! Regardless of whether production has caught up to demand or if the Obama-hoarders have started hitting their saturation points, it is good to hear that product is again available at the end of the pipeline.

PowderValley Rocks. Came home to 10k sp primers. Shortage is over for me for a few months.
