I know your deal is the special stuff, but do you have any plans to get into 9mm? I'm sure it's a very competitive market, but I would be intrested in hearing your thoughts. Besides, I sure a lot of these guys would like to keep their money right here on GP!

I'd be about as surprised if Freak got into 9mm as I would be if a mountain grew in Florida and became North America's tallest peak. It looks like he has found a good niche in dealing with the unusual and moving from that to competing in the 9mm bullet/ammo space would be like someone switching from making custom high-end race cars to mass producing generic cars that people drive to the supermarket in. It would still have a steering wheel, engine, and wheels, but beyond that its a whole different environment. I don't know what the margins are like in the 9mm space, but I bet they are paper thin given the level of competition.

I will be offering a 135gr "Slippery" bullet for the 9mm, sized .356". I'm getting the molds from a group buy that MMA10mm ran. The buy is closed but I'm picking up two molds. They are due in May. When I have the molds, you will have bullets available. It can be loaded supersonic or subsonic. If my supply price holds steady, like it has been, you are looking at $55/K shipped.

Ok, so I guess the highest point in North America is now in Florida.

I know, Craig, I know. I tried to stay away from it, but since I offer a 45 bullet, it was only a matter of time.

This might violate my rule, but I'll have a go at it. If I get a 9x25 Dillon barrel for my 1911 like I planned, I can shoot it. I'd hate to have to buy a gun just to keep my word.

I'm getting the same mould, I'll do the destructive testing for you.

I know making 9mm can be like selling out, but it may also give you the oppertunity to turn over more product, therefore buying in larger quantities at potentially lower prices. I'll bet Micheal Angelo painted a few window frames in his time.

I'm a little worried about launching my ammo lineup. I don't know how well or bad it will do. It might turn out to be better than I think. I'm surprised at how well I'm doing so far with the bullet casting. Orders keep pouring in.

Freak, don't be afraid of success or of failure. Be afraid of not trying.

My fear is that my turn around time will increase. I can only do so much. I have more than enough on my plate right now. It takes less time to load ammo than it does cast/size bullets.

Would it be proper to stop casting orders to load some ammo and then resume casting? My bullet orders are first come first served, in the order they are received. Do ammo orders get pushed behing the bullet orders? Should I schedule certain days as "ammo days" and the rest "bullet days"? Things I have to work out still.

I've been a failure all my life. Trust me, I ain't afraid of it. It's all I know.

Sounds like you'll be able to drop the pizza gig soon, and go all in with Freakshow International Bullet Corporation LLP. Hell if it blows up enough you might be able to take on some help.

When that 9mm hit's the market let me know, count me in for 2k or so.

You aren't a failure bro. You got some balls starting an ammo/bullet business in this state of the union we're in. All businesses start somewhere and it looks like you got a good start. Hang in there I see a bright future for Freakshow Bullets.

I remember seeing that graphic a bit of time ago on GT, but forgot the author/thread. When you're in production on that bullet, let me know... I'm definately placing an order.
