I knew that title would get you in here. I sent away for another Glock certificate. I don't know what I want to get. I already have two 9mm pistols G17 and CZ but was handling somebodies G26 at the GSSF match and liked it. I would also like to have another 45 auto. I have a cheap 1911 that I like but was looking at the G30. What do you all think. Anybody have pro's and con's on the G30 and G26.

G30 is legal in every GSSF division the G26 isn't. The G30 makes big holes, the G26 doesn't and that might be the difference between a B and C hit, or a C and D hit. with the G17 and G30 you'll be set for a lot of IDPA, Steel Challenge, and GSSF shooting. Most all of my gun buying considerations is based on competition.

What Ede said :yesnod:

That being said with your G17 and a G26 in GSSF you could shoot everything except Major Sub and use the same ammo

I don't shoot the 10mm/45 Glocks nearly as well as the 9/40/357 size. The grip is fat! I sold my G30 for this reason.

G35's are nice. Ever think about a longslide?

Check out the new slim gripped model. I handled one yesterday and it was nice.

I like the G30. Keep one in the nightstand most of the time.

I will probably use it more for carry and range fun than competition.

Everything I have read about the G30s accuracy says that it is amazing.

Of course, reloading costs would be higher with a .45 Auto...

I've never shot a GSSF match. So I care little about those divisions.

The G26 is like a gun, but smaller.

Steve i'm not suprised. GSSF is sort of a mans man kind of sport. not many insurance salesmen make it to GSSF matches.

Guy here is selling a G27 with three G22 mags, a Galco IWB, and a Galco small of back for $500. Might look at it if I had $500 handy.

From what Ive heard (and my little experience so far) is the Glock 45acp barrels are very lead friendly.

Being as Rusty is a 45 bullet caster and all ;)

That's great news. Thanks.

G30 without question, accurate and fun to shoot. Cohutt shoots a 30SF, typical of people with smallish hands.

Get the G26. You can keep it on you every where you go.

G30SF or G20SF. I vote G20SF. Every reloader should own at least 1 10mm.
