.30-06 brass? That doesn't sound very economical.

Well it can be economical, you dont go out and buy new brass ;)

I think one thing is guys were cutting down 30-06 cases to make 44 automag brass and using the leftover to make a bullet.

Also a good use for any berdan brass or any old brass that may be past its usefull life.

8mm Mauser case head is the same as '06. Used to be a ton of berdan surplus out there.

I got some of these from BT. They grouped well from my Ruger SRH. He sent me several types of bullets. This one was most accurate.

Top group was another style bullet that didn't group so well.
Bottom group is the bullet shown by gwalchmai.
50 yds. 22 gr H110 @ 1400 fps

Nice shootin', Norski!

Thanks. I bought that revolver from a guy who said he couldn't hit anything with it.

A load it likes, some glass and a trigger job and it does this:

10 shot group at 100 yds (two fliers=pulled shots).

These were 240 gr Hornady XTP's over 22.8 gr of H110. Published data sez it's running about 1500 fps. BT's swaged bullets are a bit heavier at 254 gr. The ones that use '06 cases for jackets seem to be the most accurate.
