I would like to see where they are getting some of there bullet facts.

My guess is they did a sh*tty job trimming the meat and just fed it into the a big grinder with shot up pieces of meat.

Sounds like a move to ban lead bullets.

I put that lead there, on purpose.

The organization says lead from bullets in the carcasses of animals is primarily responsible for lead poisoning that has endangered the condors.

So hunters who can't find their wounded quarry and loose it to nature are the cause of condors dying off from secondary lead exposure?

Some people are absolutely SHAMELESS with their BULL****.

Some people are absolutely SHAMELESS with their BULL****.Actually it might not be Bull****. Before they banned lead fishing lures up here in the Northeast because of the Loons dying after they ate them there was several large studies done. Alot of people were surprised to find out how little lead Loons had to eat for it to be fatal. They outlawed lead in fishing lures and soon after Loon numbers started increasing dramatically. Remember a lot of game taken in Western states the hunter only harvest the cape, head, and a few choice cuts of meat usually the hind quarters. The rest is left for scavengers which pretty much clean it to the bone. If a Condor or a Loon eat lead it's not secondary lead exposure, it's lethal. I read in either Outdoor Life or Field & Stream where a lot of states were happy with the results of the lead ban. If that is true 6920vincent might be right that this is a move to ban lead.
