I received the barrels for my G21 and G26 today.

Cycled a couple mags thru the G21...perfect.

G26...first round goes thru ok, them major jam up...MAJOR!

I cannot rack the slide for anything. Round in the chamber...:yesnod:.

I'm awaiting a call back from LWD's Armorer.

Anyone want to chime in while I wait?

I carry a Monadnock De Jammer tool on my duty belt for exactly this reason. Even with factory ammunition you can end up with a jammed round scenario similar to this. To clear such a jam and stay in a fight you insert the rod down the barrel, then with your finger off the trigger do a hard straight forward punch into a hard surface such as a brick or wooden wall.

LWD's armorer and I had a great conversation.

The guy is super nice!

He explained a technique to me to clear the jam.

Gripping the slide with my left hand (I'm a righty, YMMV), hold the gun close to my stomach.
With the web of my right hand, where you'd grip the pistol, give a downward whack!

Didn't take much effort to pop the round right out.

FWIW...he said if I was in an area that was safe to fire the gun, No problemo!

The armorer explained that the (cases) reloads that I tested the barrel with were sized to the original Glock barrel.
LW's barrels are tighter and chamber is supported.

Glocks....I bought the barrels to shoot lead with.
I fought with myself about buying these...I lost.

Should be smoother roads ahead now. I'll just size the loads to the barrel before heading to the range.

I posted this in reloading too. I feel like a yutz having to answer both threads.

Maybe a Mod. can move on or the other.

I have two LWD barrels. They are both replacement barrels for the factory Glock 17. I want to shoot lead too.
I encountered some problems too and they didn't have to do with the barrel. LWD barrels are somewhat more to spec than Glock barrels.
The chamber is a little tighter too, but thats a good thing.
I started out the same way with some jams. Stuck rounds. I carry a rod for such events. You just drop the rod down the barrel and tap. Never, ever touch the trigger.
I took some 600 fine sandpaper and lightly polished the chamber and the feed ramp.
Plus, I paid alot more attention to quality control for reloads. LWD barrels are the best bang for the buck without question. Tighter chambers means keeping the chamber clean too.

Just an update......

I've loaded 3-400 lead rounds and all have fed and shot great.

All is under (knock on wood) control!

I bought a LWD Barrel for shooting Lead. I had the same Issue. I was Loading short (1.080") to keep the lead from touching the Leade (freebore) and jamming a round. I shoot reduced loads so i wasn't worried about pressure spikes...anyway.....I just wasn't happy so I sent it back and had the Leade opened up .001" and since then it has been awesome..I'm back to Factory length rounds.

I like the LWD and I would Buy another one without a doubt.

BTW: the above wasnt an issue with Jacketed Bullets (.400) vs. Lead (.401)

Same problem here. When I talked to the guys at Lone Wolf, they said that if I am going to shoot reloads, I need to get a casepro and have the brass roll sized back to spec. Well a casepro and acc. is about $1000.00 so that was out of the question. I had Charlie Vanek finish ream it and then had it chamber reamed and now it is fine. I have heard numurous stories about everything from their reamers get dull when they are cutting the barrel and they don't QC them close enough so one time you will get a great barrel, next time it's too tight. I don't know I have a KKM Barrel in same caliber and a Jarvis barrel and the rounds that wouldn't work in the lone wolf (before the surgery) would drop in fine in the KKM and Jarvis.

I had the same problem so I now run every round through a case gauge. If you don't have a gauge just use the barrel. I know this is takes more time but no more jams when when out shooting

Problem is that you bought the barrel to shoot lead and when you size it small enough to chamber, you also size the bullet to a smaller diameter--making a greater possibility of leading .

LW should open your chamber and increase the leade. FREE

I have two LW barrels one for the 17 and one for 21. The 21 had a short chamber and my reloads tended to jam - talked to them mailed it back - they fixed the chamber free and sent it back fast - I am happy with the accuracy.

The 17 has not had any issues - I have learned to be sure my sizer die is down as far as it will go. They are a value barrel, but a good value barrel and they have good customer service.

Welcome to GP Solvability ;)

LW barrels, just like Storm Lake are a great value. I don't understand the people that buy a Fire Dragon or higher priced BarSto barrel for casual or range use.

SL and LW have both had issues with the chambers being a little tight. I see where you can now order a .402 barrel instead of the .400 like in the past.

Maybe the mfrs are finally listening to folks that buy their barrels
