I would not base a purchase on reviews by Amazon alone. Not to mention there are only 6 reviews of that safe on Amazon.
Any moron can buy something from Amazon and not know how to use it then write a horrible review. I would research the products further and look for reviews from gun owners that actually use the products frequently. I have bought things before that had horrible reviews and I loved the products myself.... Just sayin.... If I was in the market for a bio safe I would consider the LockSAF PBS-001 Personal Biometric safe as it looks like the biometric scanner on this one is a lot better than the others. J Quote:

Your point about Amazon is well taken. The other thing to look for is the total number of reviews. In addition to those morons who trash something they don't know how to use, there are the shills that work for the manufacturer who write stock praises. The latter are actually easy to spot style-wise. The former... well, that's where the total number of reviews helps out. The best reviews are the ones with a large number and a nice Gaussian distribution of the star ratings. If the little bar chart looks like the old bell-shaped curve on its side, it's probably not such a bad product. A shift in the curve upwards towards 5-star ratings means it's a really good product. But the safest way of all is what we're doing here. Verify everything with people who know what they're doing. BTW the Locksaf Amazon reviews are pegged at 5 stars. Unfortunately there are only 7 reviews. However the Locksaf also has that California DOJ approval, with lab test results. The data is mostly PASS/FAIL but it's still better than no data at all. I really like this one. The more I learn about it the more I like it and the more I can imagine good ways to secure it with a Kensington (or similar) cable lock. The price tag is the killer. It seems to be on sale everywhere for $300 to $310 bucks which even at the sale price is more than I can afford right now. Maybe next month. I want to learn more about the company too. A company with only one product that's somehow also the best is unusual to say the least. Good stuff anyway. Thanks for pointing that one out.

There's a series of instructional videos on YouTube showing the features of the LockSaf and how to use it. Here's the first one: If you go to that YouTube link you can see the other LockSaf videos in the "Related Videos" column. I couldn't get audio on these but there are captions that explain everything that's going on. Take a look at the churchkey lock that opens the thing mechanically in the 2nd video. In the 3rd video note how the operator programs an additional finger on the other hand. They recommend programming at least 2 fingers. One on each hand is a good idea in case one of your hands has been taken out. You'll also see videos on the Biometrx Gunsafes. Those aren't exactly complimentary.
